Murphy and Stanley wants everyone in Blogville to post something about themselves so we can see just how great Blogville is, so here goes!
We are Gampy and Gammy with our GrandPugs Donald and Daisy. We are both retired and serve as part of our GrandPug's servant staff, along with their primary staff, otherwise known as Pugrents (our daughter Christy and Son-in-Law, Tim). We live in Illinois just East of St. Louis and are big Cardinal fans. I'm a retired AF Chief Master Sergeant and Gammy is a retired Orthodontist Assistant. After my family my passion is Golf and Gammy loves to do volunteer work at her church.
P.S. Here is their link!

Gampy is a very lucky man. In addition to having such a wonderful child bride in Gammy, a beautiful daughter in Christy (otherwise known as Farmer Boostrom), and the most wonderful friends in blogville; I have the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of the ASMBA STAR Foundation (http://www.asmbastarfoundation.com/). Once a year we have our board meeting in some city, usually close to a military installation (the Foundation is a military charity that gives out grants to those helping our struggling military and their families). This year we met in Charleston, my favorite city in America (Paris is my favorite city in the entire world). Above is a picture of the Yorktown aircraft carrier and the new suspension bridge connecting Charleston with the island of Mount Pleasant. So blessed!
Love to all, Gampy

I thank my God for the many blessings He has led me to, I give those who paid the ultimate sacrifice my most crisp salute. To my fellow Soldiers at Arms I raise a toast to our mutual love of everything this great country stands for; Family, Freedom, Honor, and the value of each and every human being. I pray that one day all my friends and their loved ones will never know the anguish this day brings to far too many in this great land.
I long for the day when the American Flag is respected by all, be it at an event or simply seeing it wave gloriously in a neighbor's yard or some magnificent edifice. May it always remind us that our blessings come at a horrific cost, but one shouldered voluntarily by the American soldier, God give his grace to thee.
My love to all,

I did think long and hard about getting one, but not because I don't believe its a quality automobile. The ongoing issue with the ignition recall is troubling but that really is a result of decisions (VERY BAD ONES!!!) made by a group no longer with the company. And the current leadership has already vowed to be accountable for what has happened. So while it is a very sad story I credit them for being willing to meet the company's past promises and obligations.

This is after the first two hours of the storm. The heavy stuff is a couple of hours away. Still calling for 12" by the late afternoon, -25 wind chills, and a high tomorrow of -2. Not your typical St. Louis weather. Prayers to those who must deal with this storm everywhere and especially those who don't have the comfort of home and family! To all my fur ends, please do your business quickly and get back in so your human can warm you up with cuddles and treats!
My Grand Pugs are getting prepared! Daisy and Donald are testing out their snow shoes!
